Low Back Pain Prevalance in other Cultures

Thailand and Chad have been suggested to have much lower rates of Lower back pain than noted in other Cultures. Is there something they do culturally that reduces the percentage so drastically? Or as suggested by James Steele, is it the lack of reporting pain due to another cultural attribute; Not Complaining

I recently watched a talk by Esther Gokhale as I was asked what my thoughts on her methods were and I was unfamiliar with the concepts. In this post I won’t be discussing her methods but I will be discussing her basic premise on which she bases these methods. In the talk she claimed that low back pain prevalence in the Republic of Chad was 5% and Thailand 7%. They are really, really low rates. I was stunned.

I tend to agree with the Steele, muscle atrophy/imbalance is the the predominate factor in Lower back pain. This is especially evident in Western Culture with sedentary work force and excessive calorie consumption.
