"Without This… You Won’t Efficiently Metabolize Fat*"

Soluable fiber is the ANSWER!(Apple,Beans, and Oatmeal) It nourishes the bacteria in the small intestine. This bacteria in turn produces short chain fatty acids that provide the energy necessary for regenerating the epidermal lining in the gut. This single cell lining of the gut gets eroded from the passage of foods and must be replaced every 3-5 days. Without this chain of events, the small intestine walls become matted which reduces the digestion and absorption of vital nutrients. This can create inflammation in the GI Tract, Malnutrition, Loose Stools, bowel movements immediately after eating and lower bowel gas.

The catch-22 for many is that their gut lining is so damaged from years of processed foods and diets lacking fiber that they can't eat many foods rich in soluable fiber w/out developing gastro-intestinal pain. The answer for these individuals is GastroFiber. I still take 3-6 capsules per day to increase digestion.

In regard to Dr. Mercola's video, B12 is critical to fat metabolism and is highly deficit in vegetarians, but what I found interesting was his statement about Gastro-intestinal acidity. To me this is what it is all about!

The older you get the more your digestive system breaks down, especially if you have been following the standard American diet. Specifically the lining of your stomach gradually loses its ability to produce hydrochloric acid which releases vitamin B 12 from your food. The use of antacids or anti ulcer drugs will also lower your stomach acid secretion and decrease your ability to absorb vitamin B 12. Infection with Helicobactor pylori, a common contributor to stomach ulcers, can also result in vitamin B12 deficiency.

It is not just B12 absorption that is inhibited. Calcium, Iron, Magnesium are just a few more of the vital nutrients that go right through the GI Tract with out being absorbed.

Each and every week there is a female patient who wants to get an iron supplement because her iron is low on her blood work and traditional vitamins have had no positive affects. If her diet contains animal protein the answer to her deficit is digestion not more Iron.

The marketing of processed food stuffs is criminally liable for the nutrition deficit our nation finds itself. They fortify products with hot topic nutrients and naive consumers buy into the strategy. How can an Antacid like Tums deliver calcium when calcium requires an acidic environment for absorption? It can't!

This is why I literally plead with people to stop self diagnosing and prescribing unnecessary vitamins. At the least you are wasting money and worse you could be contributing to the Dis-Ease of your body!

To my Friends and Patients who want a critical assesment of their Nutritional needs You can fill-out a System Survey and I will give you a report of your deficiencies and nutritional recommendations. There is no charge for this survey. All I ask is you take serious my recommendations.
