Muscle and Fitness Training Optimization: Exerbotics

I have the seen the future of resistance training and it is called Exerbotics!

There is nothing you can honestly compare this equipment to.
There are no weight stacks, computer screens that document every second of the movement as well as give real time feedback of the amount of force you are generating. The real benefit of the Exerbotics is that when you lift free weights and selectorized weight machines you are limited by the weakest part of your strength curve or what is called the sticking point. For the bench press the hardest parts of the lift are at the chest and at the end of the movement or lock out. The weight you train with must be at one that you can move thru the sticking points or the lift is done. But as demonstrated on the video from David Barr of Muscle & Fitness, this means that all other parts of the movement are done at weight well below maximum effort. With Exerbotics, there are no sticking points. The computer will allow you to maximize the amount of weight for each part of the strength curve. It also increases the weight on the negative portion of the movement which again increases the intensity generated. With a default protocol of 3 seconds positive and 4 seconds negative very few individuals can lift 70-80% of their max effort for more than 5 repetitions! For elderly, infirmed or untrained individuals this means max force generation with much less metabolic output. For power and physique builders this could reduce volume of training reducing not only time spent in the gym put reduced stress on the joints.
