Stevens at the point of Turpin attack



Mitch Stevens is one of our patients and I am proud to be associated with such a determined,positive and hard working young man.



Turpin High School point guard Mitch Stevens is being recruited to play Division III college basketball.

That’s all well and good, but Stevens has his sights on playing at a higher level.

The 5-foot-9 senior has aspirations to play on the Division I stage.

Stevens knows that accomplishing his goal is no easy task, but it’s something he’s willing to continue to work for.

And if history says anything about Stevens, who is sixth in the FAVC east with 15.1 points per game, Division I coaches might be wise to give the scrappy guard some looks.

He was cut from both his seventh- and eighth-grade basketball teams at Nagel Middle School. At 4-feet-10, Stevens believes his height hurt his ability to make an impression at tryouts.
